Netball Match

There is a match on Wednesday 24th November against Cuffley. This is for both A and B teams and will be played away. Therefore because of fading light we are aiming to leave school by 3pm.

All girls will now be getting letters home before all matches and we need to have the attached slips signed and returned by the parent or guardian before the game.
This will be our last match before Christmas and training will continue as normal for as long as the weather and light allow us!

Netball Matches

There are two matches this week. The first is a league game against Ladbrooke on Monday 11th October. This is A Team only.
The second is on Thursday 14th October against Pope Paul. This is both A and B teams. All games are at Little Heath.

There is no training this Thursday for Yr 5 and 6 girls due to this match.

Match Report - Welwyn and Hatfield Hi 5 Tournament

On Wednesday 6th October, Little Heath A team played in the Yr 6 Hi 5 Tournament at Stanborough School in Welwyn Garden City. Hi 5 is slightly different to normal seven- a- side netball because you use a smaller ball, there are only five players on the pitch with two off and you play for six minutes then rotate positions.
We hadn't played this game before so didn't  know what to expect from the other teams.
Our first game was against Green Lanes and we won  3-1. Next we played Applecroft and won 4-0. The next game was against Holy Family and we won 2-1. We then played Pear Tree and we were 5-0 up when Annie had a really bad nose bleed and all games were stopped. The rest of the game was re-played and we managed to win. Our last game of the group was against a hard school called Countess Anne but we still won 3 -0.

We were in the Semi-final against Northaw. We won 3-0

We were in the final against Springmead school!!!
We kept our cool and won 5 - 1.

We didn't know it but we were then told we had qualified to represent Welwyn and Hatfield County in the Championships next May!

Well done to all the team and thanks to all the parents who came and supported us and to Jane and Georgina for coaching us.

Match Report - Pre Season Festival at Mount Grace School A Team

On Thursday 30th September Little Heath A Team played in the Pre-Season netball festival at Mount Grace School. We played a total of four games. The first was against Ladbrooke A, the second against Pope Paul A, the third against Manor Lodge A and the fourth against Wroxham A. We really enjoyed all our games and managed to win them all. Well done to all the team - what a great start to the season! Thanks to Jane and Georgina for being great coaches!

First matches!

Can we just say a very big well done to both the A and B Teams this week. On Tuesday we played Stormont in our first matches of the season. The A team won 12-6 and the B team won 5-1. These were excellent results and we are very proud of all the girls who not only played well but showed real sportsmanship at all times.
We also played in the pre season friendly at Mount Grace school. The B team only lost one game against a very on form Manor Lodge side but won the next three. The A team won all their games which will be a real confidence boost for them.
A big thank you to all the parents for their support. Roll on the next game!!

Netball matches for September

We have two dates scheduled for September.

Tuesday 28th:  Match/Training session with Stormont at Stormont. This will start at approx 3.45 and last about an hour. We will only be taking squad girls.


Thursday 30th: Pre season festival at Mount Grace school starting at approx 3.45. This is
 just to give all the Potters Bar schools a warm up. No scores will be kept or trophies given. We are hoping to take both A and B teams to this. Will update blog as soon as we have confirmation from Mount Grace.

The squad list will go up on Monday.

We will be using our Year 6 boys to play against our Year 6 girls for this session.

Hi Five festival

There is a netball Hi Five festival on 6th October at Stanborough school. This will start a 2pm and finish at approx 5.15pm.
